On January 14th I will be leaving for Eswatini and South Africa where I will be serving for four months. I have always wanted to take a mission trip overseas and stretch myself outside of my comfort zone. I heard about World Race through one of my childhood friends who just got back from serving for 11 months. Right now, I am working as a manager at a job that allows me to take off several months and is even encouraging me to pursue this opportunity. In December I will be finishing up my Associates in Business which aligns perfectly with the trip.

World Race is a nonprofit organization that partners with other missions by sending volunteers to serve in various countries. I will be joining a team of 15 other young adults to serve in Eswatini and South Africa. Our focus will be serving in orphanages and sharing the gospel through evangelism, Bible studies, and after school programs.

Eswatini has the highest HIV/Aids rate in the world and 12% of its total population is made up of orphaned children. We will be caring for these children through the fulfillment of their basic needs like food, clean water, shelter, and education. South Africa is one of the most prosperous countries in Africa, but millions still live in poverty. We will be partnering with Global Leadership Academy to provide first-class education to students while serving their community. I have a heart for kids and am excited for this opportunity to serve.

I feel like this is something that God is leading me to do and have tremendous peace about this mission. This opportunity will allow me to serve others while growing my walk with God. Will you please consider partnering with me through prayer and financial support and see what God will do?
